Student Alumni Association Member Form

The APSU Student Alumni Association (SAA) is a student membership program established by the APSU National Alumni Association. This student organization is designed to inspire loyalty, preserve University traditions and establish the bond between Austin Peay State University students and alumni. 

SAA's purpose is to improve the understanding of the role of the APSU National Alumni Association by educating and involving students in activities and events that provide an opportunity to foster a lifelong relationship with Austin Peay State University. 

Membership 

  • Membership is free for APSU enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.  
  • The organization connects students with alumni and friends who can share their experiences and offer academic and career advice at various events.
  • Students can participate in events that help give back to the University and the APSU community.
  • Students have the opportunity to receive a SAA member shirt.
  • The organization will host membership appreciation days.

SAA Executive Board Application Requirements

Who can run for an officer position with the APSU Student Alumni Association?
Any individual that is a currently enrolled, full-time student at APSU. The student must be in good academic and judicial standing at the university. 

What we are looking for in a Student Alumni Association Officer:
The Student Alumni Association is a student run organization that seeks to strengthen connections between current APSU students, alumni, and the community. 

The National Alumni Association seeks candidates who are highly enthusiastic about Austin Peay State University and are proud to say “Let’s Go Peay!”

In support of the mission and vision of both the university and the National Alumni Association, below are the Student Alumni Association’s objectives that guide their work:

Cultivate a student’s understanding of the APSU National Alumni Association (NAA)
Serve as a support group to the APSU NAA
Develop a sense of campus community
Increase student involvement on campus
Facilitate active relationships between students and alumni
Provide activities that enhance school spirit
Preserve and uphold campus traditions
Establish a foundation for future involvement in the APSU NAA
