Nomination Process

The Austin Peay State University National Alumni Association will start the nomination process to elect new members to its Board of Directors for 2018-22 in January 2018. Nominations can be submitted by completing the online form below.

The new board member voting process will begin in February 2018 and conclude in March 2018. All current Austin Peay State University Alumni Association members have the right to vote for new board members. Ballots will be found here once voting information is available. 

Who can run for a board member position with the National Alumni Association? Any alumni member of Austin Peay State University. Anyone who has completed at least 12 credit hours and is not currently enrolled as a student at APSU is considered alumni.

What is the nominating process?

The Alumni Association Board Member nomination process begins at the start of the spring semester. Interested alumni can complete the online form once it is posted on the APSU alumni website. Completed nomination forms are due in February. Following the deadline to submit nomination forms, APSU alumni have the opportunity to vote for the candidates. The Alumni Nominating Committee then reviews and approves all qualified candidates. The slates of candidates are ratified by the Executive Board at the summer National Alumni Association board meeting.

They strive to facilitate a lifetime connection with the alumni, students, faculty, staff and the community.  The Alumni Association encourages services, programs and events that increase the visibility of the University and fosters lifetime engagement, loyalty, pride and support for APSU. 

What we are looking for in board members:
The APSU Alumni Association Board Members are a dynamic group of alumni from all over the country. The Alumni Association Board promotes the ongoing excellence of Austin Peay State University by enlisting the support and participation of its graduates. Board members volunteer their time, talent and resources to assist in communication, recruitment, student retention and outreach. Board members serve a 4 year term and should be committed to attending meetings and assisting with Alumni Association activities. The Alumni Association seeks nominees who are highly enthusiastic about Austin Peay State University and are proud to say “Let’s Go Peay!”

Nominations will be due by February 23, 2018.
